Management Computer Services, Inc. (MCS) is now offering PHA-Web, an Internet based software for housing authorities. The Inspection Manager is a component of PHA-Web.

The Inspection Manager utilizes the Tablet PC, which takes advantage of the lateast technology in portable devices.  The Tablet PC provides the inspector the ability to complete a custom inspection checklist designed by the housing authority on the screen when performing the inspection.  The Tablet PC incoporates the aspects of a pen and paper into the computer experience.  The inspector can use the pen included with the Tablet PC to write directly on the screen to complete the inspection checklist.

The Tablet PC runs the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system and is capable of working as both a handheld device and a workstation.  Because the Tablet PC uses the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition operating system is is compatible with all Windows XP software applications.  For use with PHA-Web, MCS recommends the HP Compaq Tablet PC 1100.
